Activities

We offer our current campers an opportunity to take part in Basketball, Tennis, Baseball, Soccer, Lacrosse and Golf Camps. These “Mini-Camps” are being offered as a supplement to our highly successful sports program. We have geared the camps so that the beginner, as well as the advanced player will be able to learn a great deal in a fun filled environment. Each of the camps will be directed by professionals who have significant experience working with kids ages 8-15. As with everything we do at CLC, these programs will use our "success based on attitude, rather than aptitude" approach in developing our campers’ skills and more importantly, their self-confidence.

Basketball Camp
Marc Jerome and his team of coaches will be running our basketball camp. Marc is the head coach of the renowned Riverside Church AAU program in New York City. Campers will receive daily instruction in shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding and defense. Campers will rotate through each of these stations and will then be placed on teams where they will learn in a game environment. The camp is designed to challenge beginners through advanced players.

Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day during this two day mini-camp.
Space is limited to 40 campers of all ages
.

Lacrosse Camp
Lacrosse is becoming one of the hottest activities at CLC and we will once again be teaming up with STEPS Lacrosse to offer our campers this camp. The program has been designed to challenge both the beginner and more advanced players. The program will focus on individual skill development for both the male and female player with specific instruction in stick handling, passing, shooting and clearing drills.

Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day during this two day mini-camp.
Space is limited to 40 campers entering 4th grade and above.

Tennis Camp
We are excited that Coach Ivan Baron and his staff will be back with us this summer running this successful program. Ivan is a former All-American at the University of Georgia and was the #1 ranked junior player in the world. Ivan has also coached at the University of Miami and Florida Atlantic University, in addition to providing individual lessons to top players in the world. Being a part of this training camp will be an invaluable experience for both the intermediate and advanced player.

Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day during this two day mini-camp.
Space is limited to 50 campers of all ages.

Please note that this camp is open to campers who are intermediate and advanced players. We will still be providing our own “extra tennis” program under the direction of our own tennis staff.

Soccer Camp
Coach Danilo Vittorato will be back with us this summer to lead our 2 day camp. Danilo is currently the Futsal Academy Director for the Long Island Rough Riders and dedicates his time to teaching young players the game of soccer while training over 40 travel teams on Long Island. His passion, knowledge of the game and overall enjoyment of working with children make him a natural to lead this program.

Campers will receive 4 hours of instruction each day during this two day mini-camp.
Space is limited to 40 campers of all ages.

Baseball Camp
Bret Miller will be returning to run our 2 day baseball camp. Bret played collegiate baseball at Urbana University in Ohio, where he served as team captain. Bret is currently the pitching coach, academic coordinator, and strengthand conditioning coach for the Urbana University baseball team. Bret has extensive experience and the unique ability to teach the fundamentals of baseball to the beginner, as well as the more advanced player.

Golf Camp @ Woodloch Springs Golf Resort
The Woodloch program is one of the finest in the country and is considered by Golf Digest to be one of the top resort courses in the United States. Campers will take part in a 3 lesson program (1 ¼ hour each week) under the supervision of John Pillar, Director of Golf at Woodloch. John and his staff will work on each camper’s golf swing, including driving, chipping and putting. Campers will then develop these skills at the Chestnut Lake Camp driving range. The Golf Camp is a great opportunity for any camper who has a strong interest in golf.

Campers will have 3 lessons per each 3 week session.
Space is limited to 20 campers of all ages.

Please note that our Sports Camps are for enrolled campers only.
