Waterfront
Our beautiful private lake is the namesake of Chestnut Lake Camp and home to our expansive waterfront area. Our boating program includes waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, banana boating, sailing, kayaking, paddle boating, stand-up paddle boarding and canoeing. The swim area features a trampoline, swing, slide, blob and rock-it.
Baseball/Softball
Whether a beginner or a future Yankee, campers receive instruction at their own level while at our regulation sized baseball and softball fields. Our main field is even lit for nighttime play! As with all of our athletics, campers can choose to join the CLC tournament team that competes against other camps and/or enroll in our specialized baseball mini camp.
Flag Football
Flag Football is one of the most popular activities at camp. Our boys love participating in our NFL-like combine as part of the BCL (Boys' Campus Leagues). As with all of our athletics, campers can choose to join the CLC tournament team that competes against other camps in our area.
Basketball
Whether participating in shooting drills, playing Knock-Out or playing in a 3 on 3 tournament under the lights, campers love to spend time at the basketball courts. As with all of our athletics, campers can choose to join the CLC tournament team that competes against other camps and/or enroll in our specialized basketball mini camp.
Lacrosse
With the popularity of lacrosse continuing to grow, the lacrosse field is always busy with campers honing their skills with our highly qualified staff. As with all of our athletics, campers can choose to join the CLC tournament team that competes against other camps and/or enroll in our specialized lacrosse mini camp.
Soccer
Soccer continues to be as popular as ever at CLC. Our highly skilled staff coaches to each camper's level by providing basic to advanced skills. As with all of our athletics, campers can choose to join the CLC tournament team that competes against other camps and/or enroll in our specialized soccer mini camp.
Beach Volleyball
Campers love to visit the courts and put their toes in the sand! At night, you'll find campers and staff alike playing under the lights. As with all of our athletics, campers can choose to join the CLC tournament team that competes against other camps.
Tennis
Through group and individual instruction, our highly skilled tennis staff motivates campers of all skill levels to have fun and improve their game. 6 courts are lit for nighttime play. As with all of our athletics, campers can choose to join the CLC tournament team that competes against other camps and/or enroll in our specialized tennis mini camp.
European Handball
Truly a CLC Favorite, European Handball combines the skills of basketball and soccer to create a fun, unique and fast-paced game. The biggest game of the year is the Kaya Prom Dress Euro Match where our 8th grade girls wear prom dresses, wet down the field and slip and slide their way to victory!
Pool
The pool is a favorite place for campers to cool off and play! They also receive swimming lessons from our Red Cross trained lifeguards. Our pool is heated, saltwater based and lit for nighttime pool parties!
Drama Center
Each session, our Drama staff produces two CLC Broadway productions in which campers participate as actors and actresses as well as scenery, lighting & sound, wardrobe and stage crew. The Drama Center also hosts our camper and staff talent shows and skit nights.
Canteen
Built in 2015, the canteen is the perfect place to cool off and enjoy a snack with your friends. Whether playing ping pong, air hockey or watching the big game, there is plenty to do in the canteen. Campers can also grab their favorite snack such as frozen yogurt, a slice of pizza or a pretzel!
Movie Theater
Built in 2015, the CLC Movie Theater houses our popular videography program where campers can shoot and edit their own films. The 100 seat theater is professionally equipped with a 160” movie screen, surround sound, and authentic movie theater seats. It's also the perfect place for campers to grab some popcorn and catch the latest Hollywood blockbuster on a rainy day.
Golf
Our Golf Driving Range provides campers the perfect place to work on their swing with our experienced golf instructors. Our future pros also have the opportunity to visit the PGA course at Woodloch Pines as part of our Golf mini-camp.
Girls' Campus
Girls' Campus is home for our girls entering 2nd through 8th grades. Our spacious, modern bunks are equipped with a separate cubby room and private bathrooms that include 3 showers. A typical bunk has 12 campers and 3-4 counselors.
Boys' Campus
Boys' Campus is home for our boys entering 2nd through 8th grades. Our spacious, modern bunks are equipped with a separate cubby room and private bathrooms that include 3 showers. A typical bunk has 12 campers and 3-4 counselors.
Varsity Campus
Campers entering 9th grade graduate to our Varsity Campus which is home to our campers entering 9th grade and above. Varsity campers live in dorm style rooms and enjoy a later curfew and wake-up time than the younger campers.
Gymnastics
Campers can be found flipping out in our 4800 square foot gymnastics arena that includes a full length tumble track, uneven bars, parallel bars, balance beam, vault and regulation sized gymnastics floor. Our popular Dance and Cheer programs are also hosted in the Gymnastics Arena.
Hockey Pavilion
Our regulation sized hockey pavilion is home to our roller and floor hockey programs. Our hockey pavilion is also one of our many covered areas utilized for rainy days and special events such as Unique Entertainment and Dutch Auction!

Main Office
The Chestnut Lake Office is the first stop for guests and source of bugle calls, announcements and the CLC morning radio show. Our web staff, which posts daily photos for our parents to enjoy, is also based in the Main Office.

Health Center
Our climate-controlled Health Center is staffed with a health center administrator, doctor and four nurses. There are private and semi-private rooms equipped with satellite tv for those campers who need to spend an extended time in the Health Center.
Science & Nature Center
Our Science & Nature Center offers curious campers a fun way to learn more about the beautiful environment surrounding Chestnut Lake.
Dining Hall
Our climate controlled dining hall is home to breakfast, lunch and dinner for our campers. Campers sit at round tables and enjoy family style meals with their friends and counselors. Every meal has plenty of nutritious and healthy options on the daily substitute bars. We have a designated Food Specialist to meet the needs of our campers with allergies and special dietary needs.
Record-It Studio
Releasing their inner rock stars, campers can join a jam session in the rehearsal room, pen a song in Writer’s Cove or record their favorite song in the recording studio. Campers can also don their director’s hat in videography, record a show for CLC Radio or sharpen their photography skills in digital media.
Expanded Aerial Adventure Course for 2017
Whether soaring through the air on the Flying Squirrel, taking the Leap of Faith or speeding down the zip line, our Outdoor Adventure area encourages campers to step out of their comfort zone and reach new heights. While at Outdoor Adventure, campers may also choose mountain biking, archery, rock climbing or several other high ropes elements.
Overnight Site
At Chestnut Lake, we believe every camper should experience true camping as part of his/her summer camp experience. With our 30' authentic tipi and campfire ring, our Overnight Site is the perfect setting to cook a meal over an open fire, roast marshmallows for S'mores and spend the night under the stars!
Mountain Biking
As part of our Outdoor Adventure program, mountain biking provides campers a fun and exciting way to tour camp and explore the trails throughout CLC. We have biking paths for the beginner as well as advanced riders.
Archery
As part of our Outdoor adventure program, campers aim for new heights at the Archery range as our experienced staff teach campers the skills of archery using a bow and arrow.

Gatehouse
Every guest visiting Chestnut Lake checks in at our gatehouse before entering camp. They check in and receive personalized guest lanyards before being greeted at the Main Office. Our Gatehouse is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Campfire Site
Every Friday night, the whole camp gathers at our Campfire Site because we love to close the week together as a camp family. Our Varsity campers assign a special theme to each campfire and lead the rest of camp in favorite songs and activities. The first Friday of each session is a special campfire called Tribal Fire where new campers and staff learn which Tribal team they will be on for Tribal War!

Gaga
Whether playing at Free Play or competing in the epic CLC Gaga tournaments, campers love spending time on the Gaga courts. Our premier court is complete with a sport-court floor and observation deck.
Robotics
Robotics is the perfect place for curious campers to design and build their own creations. Robotics offers campers a wide arrange of building opportunities; from simple self-contained kits to more complex builds that include basic and intermediate programming.
Creativity Center
Campers tap into their creative side when they visit Arts & Crafts. Including woodworking, sewing, ceramics, chef school with studio kitchen and fine arts, there is something for everyone when they visit the Creativity Center!
